David Barton

I believe that real healing begins when we feel truly seen and understood — because it’s in those moments of genuine connection that we start to feel safe enough to explore, process, and grow. My approach to counselling is warm, person-centred, and shaped by both professional training and personal experience. In my work, I help clients explore the deep-seated beliefs and patterns that often underlie distress, uncovering the roots of suffering while fostering self-understanding and growth. I hold a PhD in Psychology, a Diploma in Counselling, and have completed additional training in a range of evidence-based therapeutic models — but in practice, I lean most on my life experience, empathy, and genuine connection with each person I meet.
